We've been in the wedding business a long time, but there is something about cake designers that seem to surprise and delight us all the time. In the last decade or so, bakers have transformed into artists by creating designs so intricate and imaginative that they no longer look edible. But that is exactly what they are.

We recently found a cake designer out of San Francisco that truly amazed us. I Dream Of Cake, started by artist Shinmin Li, understands the personality of icing and the relationship between ingredients allowing her to create masterpiece after masterpiece. Their studio is truly set up like an art gallery, and why ever not? After all, each design is sculpted, painted, molded, and shaped into a true work of art.
