Golden Glow of Autumn

The golden glow of autumn can conjure up beautiful memories of family and friends, so why not a wedding? In today's environment of keeping costs in check, while assuring you do not compromise the essential elements of your dream day, this time of year covers all the necessities, cost savings, green elements (nature's leaf decor), warmth and treasured touches. Fall colors look good on everyone and around everything, from the napkin rings on your table settings to the elegance or simplicity of your invitations. Consider putting a beautiful leaf on each seating assignment, with the guest name in golden ink. A simple khaki or beige/taupe dress only requires a beautiful chocolate sash and it is transformed into something very special. A simple box with an amber bow and a beautifully scented candle inside is a perfect symbol of the season of your wedding day as a thank you to your attendants. Fabulous cocktail rings are fun additions to the attendants wear, and some fun comfort shoes for you - keep you in step with the weather and your gown safe. You can show them off after the "I Do's" Start with a walk in the park - it will show you some fabulous color options to start your inspiration.

Finding Your Flair

Something as simple as an over-sized bow, or maybe it's that perfect pair of shoes that you need. We're talking about your flair on your day. What is it that will make you feel truly special on that day? Sometimes it's an image you have carried with you since being a small girl, or maybe it's just incredible makeup or perfume. It is not always the entire wedding gown, it could be an accessory on the dress, or the color you choose to accent it. Take the time to give thought to one single item that just might be the magic behind the scene as the entire day plays out. Chandelier earrings, statement necklace, something hidden in your bouquet, or possibly a hat that sets itself apart, or the color of your nail/toe polish - make it yours - own it and it will bring you that unique flair.

It's the Shape of Things

Earrings make any woman look more charming and attractive. There are appropriate types for every occasion and any woman.

Due to the fact they are close to the face, earrings must compliment one’s face shape. There are also several basic styles that can be worn from day to evening and are appropriate for a variety of clothing options and occasions. So let's look at some ideas for choosing which earrings for you.
You should identify your face shape first to decide what style of earrings will compliment your face best. Consider what will enhance your good features. Take into consideration the cut and color of your hair, your skin tone, your body size and clothes you’re wearing.

Salma Hayek - Round face shape

If your face is round you better choose lean, long and angular curved lines. It will elongate and add a little angle to your face. You can wear drop earrings in dangles, ovals and oblongs. Square and rectangular earrings are also good options, as are angular earrings. But make sure that you avoid small studs and hoops and chunky large earrings as well.

Oval Face Shape - Wear just about anything (check that hairstyle first)
This is a classic shape that will work with almost any style of earring. You can always do some experiment with different styles and decide what looks good on your face. You can wear earrings with soft shapes like studs, ovals and teardrops. Spiraled heavy drop earrings will suite you. Pearl, diamond, or gemstone studs can compliment this face shape if worn with a shorter hair style. However, avoid wearing incredibly long and thin shapes that will just pull you down.

Jennifer Aniston - Heart shaped face
Look for earrings that are wider at the bottom – tear drops, chandeliers, triangle shapes that begin with a point. Even circular and oval earrings will work with your face shape, so long as they don’t taper as they descend. Pyramid style earring will also look pretty. Steer clear of earrings that are heart shaped very short earrings.

Paris Hilton - Square Face Shape
Earrings with a round and angular edge will work best because it will help in softening a square face. As long as you avoid harsh angles and square shapes, you can wear just about anything in the earring category. Hoops and curved edges will add the necessary roundness, and drop earrings, long tear drops, or multi-tiered dangling earrings will give a square shape some length.

Sarah Jessica Parker - Long or Thin Face Shape
You should consider wearing simple studs and chandelier style earrings. Three dimensional earrings will add fullness to your face. To widen this face shape wear circular, triangular (with the point up) and square earrings. However, remember to avoid flat or dangling earrings.

Nicole Kidman - Diamond face shape
Wear short and wide earrings. A straight line and curves combination will work well for you. Besides, try studs and small drop earrings. Be sure to avoid long and thin earring style.

Victoria Beckham - Triangular Face Shape
If you have a triangular face you need earrings that will soften the sharp angles. Large oval or small circular earrings will work well for you. Prefer earrings with curves at the bottom and avoid ones that come to a point.

Now you have some tips to help you. Go have some fun with a few of the ideas - look in the mirror and really notice the difference in how it evens out your facial shape. Beautiful you!

The Shape of Things . . .

Earrings - Long, jeweled, bold yet sometimes delicate and petite, they can be larger than life in the trends this season and those coming. There are some incredible stying options, so keep in mind one key essential so you wear them to flatter your features - the shape of your head/face can make or break the look. There are appropriate types for every occasion and everyone.

Pull your hair off of your face, now stand in front of a well lighted mirror and try on a few different types of earrings. Notice one key element right away - how close they are to your face. Thus the reason, they need to compliment your face shape. Add to that the wide range of styles lengths and textures. Some are appropriate for evening, some for day wear or work. Here are a few keep tips on what to consider. Also keep in mind when choosing earrings the cut and color of your hair, your skin tone, your body size and clothes you’re wearing.

Round Face Shape: our example is Salma Hayek.

Rhianna's and Megan Fox's perfect oval face shape will work with almost any style of earring. You can have a field day, based on that perfect oval, so be sure to keep in mind your haircut, clothing color, etc. You can wear earrings with soft shapes like studs, ovals and teardrops. Spiraled dangly pair will look cute on you. Pearl, diamond, or gemstone studs can compliment this face shape if worn with a shorter hair style. However, avoid wearing incredibly long and thin shapes that will just pull you down.

Heart shaped face celeb - Jennifer Aniston: look for earrings that are wider at the bottom – tear drops, chandeliers, triangle shapes that begin with a point. Even circular and oval earrings will work with your face shape, so long as they don’t taper as they descend. Pyramid style earring will also look pretty. Steer clear of earrings that are heart shaped very short earrings.

The Long or Thin face shape, such as our example in Sarah Jessica Parker: you are advised to wear simple studs and chandelier style earrings. Three dimensional earrings will add fullness to your face. To widen this face shape wear circular, triangular (with the point up) and square earrings. However, remember to avoid flat or dangling earrings.

Nicole Kidman's diamond face shape: wear short and wide earrings. A straight line and curves combination will work well for you. Besides, try studs and small drop earrings. Be sure to avoid long and thin earring style.

Examples not pictures are the Triandular face - such as Victoria Beckham: if you have a triangular face you need earrings that will soften the sharp angles. Large oval or small circular earrings will work well for you. Prefer earrings with curves at the bottom and avoid ones that come to a point.

His Look, His Way . . .

He has to consider some of the same things she does - such as length and thickness of his hair. From that point on, well he considers it done for the most part! Men prefer easy care, comfort and contemporary style for some. We thought we would take a look at things like, his cultural style, balding patterns, or even coloration, and super hip styling. A couple of the latest included are the Beckham Buzz cut and from American Idol, Adam Lambert's rock cut. It's all great - and it's all easy - that's the way he wants it!
